OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We believe in being as transparent and fair as possible. So we give you a chance to see our terms and conditions even before you ask about working with us. That way, you can see everything open and up front without ever feeling obligated to ask for a quote. If you have any questions about our terms and conditions, why not get in touch!
General Terms of Engagement
This agreement is between you and us. It tells you what you can expect from us, and what we require from you. Every effort has been made to make this as simple as possible but, if you have any questions, please do ask.
We will ensure that we deliver your job, project or process to the specifications outlined in your proposal document or as otherwise agreed on time and on budget. Any variance to this will always be agreed in advance.
Duration
This agreement will remain in force until a minimum of 7 days notice of termination is received by/from either party.
Purpose and Scope
The purpose of this engagement is to provide the services previously outlined in our proposal to you or as otherwise agreed.
We will be happy to complete additional tasks as required by you at the rate listed in this document. We reserve the right to refuse additional tasks if necessary.
Communication and Confidentiality
If you have a problem, let us know.
If you need to know something, ask us.
We will keep all of your information, including personally identifiable information, confidential. We will adhere to all appropriate GDPR and privacy legislation and will inform you if we have any issues concerning your data or privacy.
Fee Structure
Our hourly rate is £60 per hour for all tasks. If we have agreed a fixed price for a job or an alternate rate in advance, this supersedes this rate.
We charge in 15 minute blocks and where possible combine tasks to make the most efficient use of the time you have paid for.
Our invoices are due monthly and our first invoice will usually be received 14 days after the project or task commencement date.
Who You Are Dealing With
We believe in paying a fair wage for good work. Anyone who helps care for your website will be paid more than the National Minimum Wage.
We want to protect the planet as much as possible. If we host your website, it will be using 100% renewable energy.
We want you to be happy. If you have an issue, contact the owner on rob@technovore.co.uk and he will deal with your complaint directly.
What You Can Expect From Us
Dilligence
We agree to perform the work we have agreed upon to the best of our ability.
We agree to adhere to any applicable laws during the commission of these works.
Communication and Confidentiality
In fulfilling our obligations under this engagement, we may come into possession of confidential data. We will keep all of your information, including personally identifiable information, confidential. We will adhere to all appropriate GDPR and privacy legislation and will inform you if we have any issues concerning your data or privacy.
We will treat your data as valuable and hold it in strict confidence and safe from disclosure to any third party.
Variation
From time to time it may be necessary to vary the terms of an agreement. We will take every step to prevent that happening in the process of an engagement but should it be necessary, you will receive a copy of the new agreement to sign. If you are unhappy with any elements altered in any such new agreement you will be at liberty to cancel our current agreement although any outstanding monies up to that point will still be owed.
What We Expect From You
Payment
We require that you pay our invoices at the requested intervals.
Communication and Confidentiality
We request that you protect our data in line with current GDPR legislation.
We require you to give active feedback on our performance during the engagement so that we may alter our approach to best serve your needs.
Completion of Engagement

Website Care Plan Agreement
This agreement is between us and you. It tells you what you can expect from us, and what we require from you. Every effort has been made to make this as simple as possible but, if you have any questions, please do ask before signing.
What We Will Do For You
We will ensure that you have a website that is available for as many people as possible, for as much of the time as possible. We will, through best practice, minimise your security and data-loss risks and always consult you about issues or costs which affect your site. We will care for your site as if it were our own and be there for you if you need support.
What You Can Expect From Us
Your website is very important to us, as is your happiness. In order to keep you as happy as possible, we agree to:
Website Move
If your website is with another host, we will move it to our servers for you, free of charge and with as little disruption as possible. This is usually a simple matter but if there are any issues that will prevent us from doing this, we will discuss it with you before changing anything.
Website Hosting
We will host your website on our enterprise class servers.
We will do our best to ensure your website runs as quickly as possible. If your website was built by someone else there is a good chance it would benefit from some additional optimisations. Some of the easy ones we can do as part of your care package. Others may require more extensive work. We will work closely with you to get the best results.
Website Updates
We will keep your core CMS, any plugins and themes up to date as far as is possible in line with your selected maintenance and hosting package. In order to make sure that updates don’t break your website, we will sometimes wait a little while and test the updates on a copy of your site to make sure that the update is safe. This can sometimes take hours, sometimes weeks depending on the complexity of the change. We will always act in the best interest of your site and so if an update isn’t applied, there will be a good reason for it. Ask us for more information if you are worried.
Website Backups
We will back up your website daily or in line with the schedule outlined in your particular care package and keep a good stock of previous backups, just in case.
Website Content
We will strive to use as much content as possible that you provide us. Where we are need to use stock content we will strive to ensure that it is royalty and rights free and attributed correctly. Remember though, it’s your site and we aren’t responsible for the content so make sure you are happy. This applies if you add other content that you find on the web and use it on your site. Please be very careful.
We will maintain the stability and security of your site, but are not responsible for the content of your site.

Emails
Emails are a critical element to any website. For this reason we follow the best practice guideline of advising our customers to handle email directly via a third party such as google or Microsoft. If you choose to host emails on your server along with your site, you must ensure that backups are configured as we cannot accept liability for any loss, damage, interception or any resultant loss.
